Review: Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Mina

Hello Lippie Lovers! Today I have a very hyped Liquid Lipstick on YouTube, and I am excited to try it out for all of you! This is the Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in the color Mina.

The Breakdown:

Price: $19.90
Contains: 0.2 ounces
Smell: Slight Vanilla Scent
Available: Online*

Part One: Packaging

So the packaging is pretty boring, but it's also not the worst I've seen from a liquid lipstick. Do I think that for the price tag it should be a little more snazzy than a sticker on a plain tube? Yes, but as they are an indie brand I will give them a pass. 3 out of 5 for packaging.

Part Two: Color

So Ofra's website doesn't have a description of this color, and the only way I can think of to describe it is like a deep berry/wine color. It seems that when I look up swatches of it online it looks slightly different on everyone, depending on their skin tone. Either way it is a very fall vampy color, and I love the color on this one. 5 out of 5 on color.

Lipstick at time of application, after drying down to matte.

Part Three: Formula

Okay, so Ofra is highly pimped out on YouTube, and I have wanted to try it for a while, but was slowly starting to collect my liquid lipsticks (these hoes are expensive!) and was excited when I signed up for a subscription service (like ipsy) called Lip Monthly and this lipstick was in my very first bag! However, even though I didn't pay full price for this product does not mean that I'm not going to be completely honest.

Okay so that part that throws me off is that right there in the title these state that they are Long Lasting. While they do last longer than a traditional creme finish lipstick, they do not last as long as most liquid lipsticks I have tried. They do wear in patches, instead of a gradual fade. Also, these do not last very well through eating. I ate chicken and broccoli with rice for dinner off of a fork, not much actually touching my lips and it looked pretty bad afterward. Good news though, these did layer well when applying a second layer.

Upon initial application, they do dry in about a minute or two, which is average and they feel comfortable on the lips all day without that tacky feeling you get from most comfortable liquid lipsticks. It was even comfortable after applying more on top after eating lunch. Also these do transfer quite a bit, as you can see below I got the dreaded lipstick line on the chin after eating dinner. I'll give the formula a 3 out 5.

Lippies after 9 hours of wear, 1 re-application after lunch and eating dinner.

Final Verdict:

Overall these are not a bad liquid lipstick, but they are not the best on the market by far. I don't think I would purchase anymore of these unless they had a unique color that I loved, then I would't hesitate. So all in all, just Meh.

3 out of 5 Lippies.

*These are also listed on Amazon but they sell at $29.95 and up. Please do not buy these from Amazon for that price when they are available for $19.90 through Ofra.*
