Hello again Lippie Lovers! Today I have a new liquid lipstick to review for you. This time is the brand Gerard Cosmetics in their Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick line and the color I have is called Serenity. I purchased Serenity because a YouTube beauty vlogger, Manny MUA did a collaboration with them, and I was trying to get more into nude shades when I purchased it. Either way, here we go with another exciting adventure in Lipstick!
The Breakdown:
Price: $20
Contains: 0.059 Ounces
Smell: Slightly Vanilla/Chemical Smell
Available: Online
Part One: Packaging
The packaging is very simple on this lipstick, but in a way I kind of like it. I think that even though the tube actually has nothing written on it anywhere, the fact that it's frosted pushes it up a bit for me. (I just love the frosted glass look). I also like the golden cap as well, though the packaging does look to be inexpensive to me. However, I'll give it a 4 out of 5.
Part Two: Color
The color is described as "a beautiful warm pink, with hints of brown" and I see it as a warm toned pink, but I don't think it has very much brown in it as most lipsticks with any brown at all, pull like a 90's grunge on me. Either way, the color being very slight on the brown is a good thing to me as I am cool-toned. The color does pull much more pink on my warm-toned friends. However that being said, I think that it is still a beautiful color even though it looks more peach on me in pictures, but in real life it looks more pink. 4 out of 5 for color.

Part Three: Formula
The formula on this one is good or bad depending on what you are looking for. So it goes onto the lips as a mix between a think liquid and a mousse, so like a thin mousse I guess. It dries down to a very comfortable matte finish. Now with comfort there is a downside, it stays tacky. Even after completely drying, there is a slight tackiness that stays around all day, but this is why they are called Hydra Matte. They are not drying in the least, never will you feel like you need to put on a balm with this lipstick. It also does transfer and need to be reapplied after eating. So if I was looking for a dry liquid lipstick with no transfer that lasted forever and ever, I probably would not pick this one up. However, if you don't mind any of that and want something that is just going to be comfortable on the lips, then this one might be for you. I enjoy a comfortable lip, so I will give the formula a 4 out of 5.
Final Verdict:
I guess it's no surprise what rating this one is going to receive. However there is some controversy attached to Gerard Cosmetics, but I won't get into that here, as I am just here to review the product with no outside factors persuade my opinion of a product. However, if you want to know more about the controversy to decide on your own if you want to purchase this product, you can check out a video from my favorite YouTuber for Liquid Lipstick reviews. 4 out of 5 Lippies.
